It’s the rare interview that makes me nervous these days. After so many interviews for so many years, the gig has normalized for me. We’re all people. This is my job. That’s their job. We discuss and then we’re done. This one threw me for a loop just because I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was blown away by Alt-J’s debut album and loved their show when I caught them on tour in Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry of all places. Interviews always read awkward and their quirky nature was a bit intimidating. Then we sat down and it was a fine occasion. Of course.
